We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Permanent Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in Swindon, Wiltshire. You\'ll be responsible for machine setting, carrying out regular inspections, and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical and pneumatic issues—keeping production seamlessly flowing. Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues early
* Create and follow preventive maintenance schedules to keep equipment running at peak performance
* Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic failures swiftly and efficiently
* Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system upgrades
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimise processes and improve machine reliability
* Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and operational procedures
Who will fit in well:
* Solid experience in Mechanical Engineering and maintenance practices
* Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
* Knowledge of PLCs, HVAC, and automation systems is a plus
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
* Ready to work day shifts from 6pm to 6am on a rotating 4 days on, 4 days off basis
