Job Title: Equipment Engineer
Location: Glenrothes (on-site) with occasional travel to Livingston
Job Purpose
To work within the Equipment Engineering Team supporting the CCA and Unit Build Assembly areas producing low to medium volume / high mix, high reliability, electronic circuit card assemblies and systems.
Nature and Scope
1. Key responsibilities/ budget/people summary of main activities
2. Repair and maintenance of equipment within the CCA and Unit Build Assembly areas
3. Take a lead role in equipment engineering problem solving and demonstrate a proactive and Continuous Improvement approach to maximise availability, predictability and performance of manufacturing systems.
4. Analysis and improvement of manufacturing processes and operating efficiencies
5. Provide technical leadership and guidance to other Engineers and technicians.
6. Assist in the department training and development plans, and provide cross training for Engineers and Technicians
7. Demonstrate good communication skills and accurately document work undertaken, to provide traceability and history of work.
8. Participate in the planning, installation, commissioning and qualification of new equipment.
9. Conform and supervise conformance to all company/statutory safety regulations and practices.
10. Be flexible with respect to shift rotation and overtime, to support the needs of manufacturing.
11. Must be production orientated, and comfortable with changing circumstances and able to cope with a demanding workload.

Education and Experience
Essential
HND in a related engineering discipline, with relevant years’ experience in Equipment Engineering
Desirable
Knowledge of Surface Mount, Through Hole technology and Coating Processes
