Base pay range
Location: Stevenage
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
Hours: Full-time
Are you passionate about food innovation and ready to turn great ideas into real, scalable products? We're working with a leading food manufacturer to find a talented Process Technologist to help bridge the gap between the development kitchen and the factory floor.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you'll play a key part in bringing new products to life-ensuring they meet high technical and quality standards as they move from concept to launch.
You will need to be extremely technically competent and adapt at managing projects, able to Define, Detail and Coordinate Product Launch and run real timeTrial Coordination
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading the scale-up of new products from kitchen to full-scale factory production
* Organising and running factory trials for NPD (New Product Development) and EPD (Existing Product Development) projects
* Driving continuous improvement and value engineering to enhance product quality and efficiency
* Working with cross-functional teams including Technical, Operations, and Engineering to ensure smooth implementation of changes
* Supporting the introduction of new technologies aligned with the Product Development Strategy

What We're Looking For
* A degree in Food Science or a similar technical field
* Previous experience in food manufacturing (FMCG), ideally in a process, development, or NPD-focused role
* Understanding of key food production methods-such as extrusion, frying, baking, sheeting, and flavouring
* Strong problem-solving abilities and a drive for continuous improvement
* A genuine enthusiasm for food, innovation, and quality
