Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £42,000 - £44,000 per annum.
Benefits include 23 days holiday + Bank Holiday, company pension, training and progression.
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a UK known FMCG manufacturer in the Worthing area.
Role and Responsibilities
* Working as part of team
* Complete PPM and reactive breakdown maintenance on manufacturing/ industrial/ FMCG machinery to maximise equipment performance
* Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults across single- and three-phase systems
* Conduct electrical fault‑finding with quick response and rectification
* Perform activities on 3‑phase and single‑phase power
* Perform activities on motors, pumps, metal detectors, flow wrappers, ultrasonic cutters and packaging equipment etc.
* Source and replace spare parts as needed
* Support continuous improvement projects on existing and new machinery
* Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
* Other duties as required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Time: served or formally qualified in engineering, experience favoured
* Solid experience in FMCG/industrial settings
* Electrical bias with mechanical capability; welding experience desirable
* Knowledgeable of both electrical and mechanical duties, with a bias to electrical
* PLC fault finding experience is beneficial
* Hands on and enjoys getting stuck in
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (mechanical and electrical)
* Familiarity with pneumatics and PLCs is a plus
* Knowledge of CAD systems is a plus
* Strong problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
