Prospero Teaching are looking for a dedicated professional to provide consistent, supportive, and engaging mentorship to a young person (aged 12) who has been disengaged from formal education. The mentor will help build the young person's confidence, foster a positive adult relationship, and encourage participation in activities aligned with their interests-particularly animal care and art. As a Mentor, you will: Build a trusting and respectful relationship with the young person. Plan and participate in activities that align with their interests (e.g., visiting animal shelters, drawing sessions, nature walks). Encourage self-expression through creative and hands About you: Experience working with children or young people, especially those with additional needs or who are disengaged from education. Passion for animal care and/or art. Strong communication and empathy skills. Ability to commit to regular weekly sessions. Experience of working with learners with SENTo be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must: Hold right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide references upon request Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
