Bally's Corporation is a global casino-entertainment company with a growing omni-channel presence. It currently owns and manages 15 casinos across 10 states, a golf course in New York, a horse racetrack in Colorado, and has access to OSB licenses in 18 states. Well, what about the team?
The Count Assistant is responsible for accurately collecting, counting, verifying, and recording all currency and gaming revenue from slot machines, table games and other gaming devices as well as hospitality revenue in accordance with internal controls, policies, and gaming regulations. This position works closely with the Cash desk team to ensure the secure handling of all cash and financial instruments during the count process.
So, what will you be doing?
1. Assisting in the collection of drop boxes from the gaming floor, including slots and electronic gaming terminals.
2. Transporting drop boxes securely to the count room using approved procedures.
3. Participating in the accurate counting and verification of currency, coins, tickets, and vouchers.
4. Operating currency counting machines and other equipment used in the count process.
5. Recording totals, discrepancies, and other required data on appropriate forms and systems.
6. Ensuring all count room procedures are followed to maintain integrity, accuracy, and compliance.
7. Maintaining strict confidentiality and integrity when handling funds and sensitive data.
8. Adhering to all property and regulatory gambling commission rules and guidelines.
9. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the count room and equipment.
10. Reporting any suspicious activity or discrepancies to management immediately.
11. Supporting the team in completing daily tasks and meeting count room deadlines.
12. Performing other duties as assigned by the Head Cashier.
And what are we looking for?
13. Have cash handling or count room experience.
14. Possess the ability to work in a secure, confined, and fast-paced environment.
15. Have strong accuracy and attention to detail.
16. Able to maintain integrity and confidentiality.
17. Have basic math skills and familiarity with currency counting equipment.
18. Must be at least 18 years of age.
