Residential Conveyancing Assistant–Macclesfield – Up to £28,000
An established and highly respected Cheshire law firm is looking to recruit a Residential Conveyancing Assistant/Paralegal to join its growing property department.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around 2 years' residential conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their technical skills within a supportive and well‑structured team. You'll work alongside experienced conveyancers and solicitors, gaining exposure to a broad range of residential property matters while benefiting from ongoing training and clear progression opportunities.
The Role
You will support experienced fee earners on a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, assisting from instruction through to post‑completion. Matters will include freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, shared ownership transactions and new build properties.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and solicitors.
* Opening new files and managing transactions through the conveyancing process.
* Drafting legal documents, correspondence and completion statements.
* Ordering searches and reviewing conveyancing documentation.
* Preparing exchange and completion packs.
* Assisting with post‑completion matters and Land Registry applications.
* Updating case management systems and maintaining accurate records.
* Providing proactive support to fee earners to ensure transactions progress efficiently.
Requirements
* At least 2 years' experience within a UK residential conveyancing department.
* Experience assisting with freehold and leasehold transactions.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent client care and communication skills.
* A proactive and positive approach to work.
* Ambition to develop a long‑term career within residential property.
