About The Opportunity
To lead and manage the supply chain function within nuclear decommissioning programmes, ensuring effective procurement, supplier performance, and compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The role supports the delivery of safe, efficient, and cost-effective decommissioning operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with project and organisational objectives.
* Support category management, supplier segmentation, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
* Manage supplier relationships and performance across Tier 1 and SME contractors.
* Support contract negotiation, change control, and dispute resolution.
* Ensure supply chain activities comply with nuclear safety standards, public procurement regulations, and internal governance.
* Maintain robust audit trails and reporting mechanisms.
* Coordinate logistics, inventory, and material management to support decommissioning operations.
* Engage with internal teams, regulators, and external partners to ensure alignment and transparency.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in supply chain management within infrastructure or regulated sectors.
* Strong understanding of public procurement regulations and nuclear safety culture.
* Experience managing supplier performance and contract delivery.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., MCIPS, logistics or supply chain degree).
* Experience in nuclear decommissioning or high-hazard environments.
* Familiarity with NDA governance and funding models.
* Knowledge of sustainability and social value in supply chain.
* Proficiency in supply chain systems and data analytics.
Any offer of employment will be subject to the relevant security requirements. This includes Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and either Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
