Management Accountant - Inverness, UK
Our Client based in the Inverness area is looking for a full time, permanent, Management Accountant. As part of our team, you will play a vital role in driving financial strategy and supporting our continued growth.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare and analyse management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to support decision-making processes. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide insightful variance analysis. Maintain and develop financial models to support strategic initiatives. Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies. Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and reporting. Contribute to process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency. Assist with external audits and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Proven experience in management accounting or a similar financial role. Strong technical skills in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. Excellent proficiency in MS Excel and financial software systems. Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements within the UK. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Effective communication skills, capable of presenting financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is advantageous. Use of Microsoft Dynamics AX. Running SOX and internal control audits. Salary is negotiable and will depend on experience. This would be discussed with our Client.
