An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Clerk to join the team at Glan Clwyd Hospital.
This role involves providing efficient clerical support to the Ward, supporting high-quality patient and staff services within the Department. It is a great opportunity to work within the NHS and contribute to community healthcare.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, relatives, and visitors, demonstrating professionalism, sensitivity, and confidentiality at all times.
Working as part of the Ward Team, the post holder will support nursing staff with clerical duties. Applicants should have a good education standard, be adaptable, organized, and possess a professional telephone manner. Experience with the Patient Administration System (WPAS) and previous Ward Clerk roles are desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Fluency in Welsh (level 3 or above) is essential.

Person Specification & Qualifications
* Essential: Maths/English GCSE or equivalent
* Desirable: NVQ 2 in Administration, NVQ in Customer Service, ECDL
Experience & Skills
* Essential: Clerical/office/reception/ward duties experience, working with the public, working in busy environments, good communication, IT skills, Welsh (level 3+)
* Desirable: Healthcare sector experience, administration experience, WPAS, RADIS familiarity, understanding of medical records, data protection knowledge
