Workshop Manager

Remuneration:
* Salary £40-60K DOE

Purpose of the Role
Accountable for site performance. To oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, and compliance high-quality vehicle repairs, efficient workflow, and compliance with health and safety standards. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Operational Management
* Plan and organise daily workshop activities to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
* Allocate jobs to technicians based on skill and workload.
* Monitor repair progress and ensure timely completion.
* Quality Control
* Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations.
* Conduct final inspections before vehicles are released.
* Team Leadership
* Manage, motivate, and develop workshop staff.
* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training where needed.
* Customer Service
* Liaise with customers and insurance companies regarding repair status and queries.
* Resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
* Compliance & Safety
* Maintain a safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
* Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment.
* Financial & Administrative Duties
* Monitor workshop costs and control budgets.
* Maintain accurate records of jobs, parts, and labour.
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience in bodyshop or automotive workshop management.
* Strong technical knowledge of vehicle body repair processes.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to manage budgets and meet KPIs.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
