Support Worker Salary: £12.21 per hour Location: Leicester LE4 Contracted Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Fully Flexible, Alternative Weekends) Days and/or Nights: Days, but occasional night support may be required About Us: This Care Home provides exceptional care for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs, and challenging behaviours. The 22-bed service is designed to meet the needs of adults aged 18 in a compassionate and nurturing environment. We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of our service users. The Role: As a Support Worker you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with varying needs. You will assist with day-to-day activities, promote independence, and offer emotional support, all while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. This is a fully flexible role, offering a work-life balance with the expectation of working alternative weekends. Although your primary hours will be during the day, there may be occasions where night support is required. Key Responsibilities: * Provide support to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and complex needs. * Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and social activities. * Encourage independence and support service users in achieving their personal goals. * Work closely with colleagues and external professionals to deliver holistic care. * Ensure the health and safety of service users and the home environment. * Assist with monitoring and recording any changes in health and behaviour. Person Specification: * Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Support Worker (Essential). * Experience working with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs, and challenging behaviour is highly desirable. * Compassionate, patient, and understanding, with the ability to build positive relationships. * Ability to work flexibly and support both day and occasional night shifts. * Strong communication skills and a team player. * Full-time applicants only.
