DescriptionThe Commercial Delivery team work in partnership with cross-functional colleagues to deliver industry leading stores, propositions and processes, activating the overall commercial proposition across brands and channels. The Head of Commercial Planning is accountable for the development and successful operation of major multi-brand commercial processes. This includes building and leading end to end ranging processes to land space and range activity across all brands and channels; supporting the design and accurate execution of cross-commercial price campaigns; leading central policy, processes and central communications in Supplier Relationship Management that enable the trading teams to unlock value through improved ways of working. The role also leads the cross-brand approach to compliance to relevant regulatory requirements (centred on GSCOP and fair dealing with suppliers). As a Head of Commercial Planning:Maximise commercial and operational value by setting bold and compelling strategies:Identify opportunities to build new processes and ways of workingCreate the vision for building best in class supplier relationship management processes and toolsAct as business owner of the Supplier Portal and work with the Commercial Change and Technology teams to build the prioritised pipeline of tools and apps.Define one multi-brand approach to complianceOperate and continuously improve critical commercial processes:Act as the business SME for supplier relationship management tools and support usageOwn key supplier management processes and ensure these operate effectively and efficientlyOperate cross category supplier engagement communicationsBuild and manage an effective end to end ranging processBuild and own the range planning calendars and coordinate a single view of all space and range activity landing in our channelsSupport the delivery of cross-commercial value campaigns, landing these with impact for customers and enabling sustained accurate and legal executionDeliver day to day operational excellence in a fast changing commercial and regulatory environment:Develop policy and processes that enable commercial colleagues to easily comply with relevant legal and regulatory rules and guidelines, including becoming the centre of excellence for the day to day operation of GSCOP rules. Respond at pace to new regulatory and legal challenges. Maintain and publish a Compliance balanced scorecardAct as lead in implementing internal audit actionsCreate and lead a high performing team across multiple sites:Develop and lead a diverse team of talented and engaged colleagues capable of delivering both day to day operational requirements, and the design and delivery of the future vision and plans.
