BAE Systems are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer - Product Safety to support complex naval defence programmes within the Product Safety team. This role will focus on:
* Hazard identification and risk management
* Safety case development and assurance activities
* Supporting Technical Authorities with product safety expertise
* Conducting safety assessments across major subsystems and technologies
* Facilitating HAZID workshops and stakeholder engagement
* Supporting compliance with defence safety standards including Def Stan 00-056, JSP430, and MIL-STD-882E
* Strong Product Safety engineering background within defence, naval, or highly regulated industries
* Experience developing safety cases and managing hazard logs
* Familiarity with Life Cycle Management (LCM)
* Knowledge of defence safety standards and frameworks
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Desirable
* Naval combat systems, sensors, or weapons experience
* Professional Registration (or working toward)
