Key Responsibilities:
Liaise regularly with allocated clients, managing their queries and ensuring all records are to meet deadlines.
Review VAT returns prepared by the team, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Conduct reviews of client accounts before handing them over for final review by senior management.
Prepare accounts to draft stage for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
Prepare management accounts as needed for clients.
Conduct client visits to build strong relationships and gather essential information.
Assist other client managers with work planning and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
Prepare ad-hoc VAT returns when necessary, helping the team stay on track.
Support and help train junior team members, fostering the next generation of accountants.
Role Requirements:
Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain excellent relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
Proven experience in managing teams and effectively leading projects.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
Confidence in liaising with senior management and working collaboratively to achieve the firm’s goals.
High attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work.
Qualifications & Experience Essential
Fully qualified member of a professional body such as ACCA, CA, CIMA, or ICAEW (via the examination route).
A full UK driving licence is required due to the need for client visits.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
