An education recruitment agency is currently working with a large and well‑established secondary school in Watford to recruit a qualified English Teacher for an immediate start.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic English department within a school that prides itself on strong academic standards and a supportive teaching environment. The successful candidate will be expected to teach English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
* Teach KS3 and KS4 English Language and Literature.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
* Create a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and achievement.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues within the English department.
* Contribute to department planning, meetings, and school initiatives.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3–KS4).
* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
* Excellent classroom management skills.
* A commitment to raising attainment and supporting student progress.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
