We are looking for a Clinical Lead to join the Mental Health Intensive Support Team (MhIST) based in East Cheshire. MhIST is an award winning and forward-thinking intensive community mental health rehabilitation service.

MhIST is a recovery-orientated service that offers specialist assessment, intervention and support to individuals with complex mental health needs across Cheshire & Wirral. Using the principles of dialogical practice, the MhIST multidisciplinary team works alongside patients and their families and social networks, with a focus on meaningful rehabilitation goals, supporting the individual to work towards their vision of recovery.

To support the Team Manager in delivering a high quality mental health services to clients that access the MHIST service. To provide clinical leadership within the team and management support, deputising for the Team Manager in their absence. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously within a multi disciplinary framework, providing training and staff development, specialist assessment, clinical support and time limited intervention to service users. The post holder will act as a source of expertise and point of contact within the team and demonstrate highly specialised communication skills and problem solving abilities when prioritising risk .

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP) provides health and care services for a population of over one million people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care, as well as the provision of three GP surgeries in Cheshire.

We employ around 4,500 staff across 73 sites and have services across Wirral and Cheshire, as well as Trafford, Warrington, Bolton, Halton and Liverpool. We also provide specialist services for the North West as a whole.
