We are seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join the firm’s expanding Employment & Commercial division. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside talented practitioners across corporate, commercial, and litigation teams, advising clients on the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment matters while contributing to the ongoing growth of the practice.
Responsibilities
* Advise employer clients and senior executives on all areas of employment law, including disciplinary matters, grievances, dismissals, discrimination, redundancy, restrictive covenants, and TUPE
* Draft, negotiate, and review employment documentation, including service agreements, contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
* Manage and defend employment tribunal claims, conducting cases from initial instruction through to final hearing
* Support corporate transactions by advising on employment-related due diligence, risk mitigation, and post-completion integration
* Deliver training sessions, prepare client briefing notes, and contribute to thought leadership content
* Engage in business development initiatives, helping to strengthen client relationships and grow the firm’s employment practice
Requirements
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
* 3–6 years’ PQE in Employment Law within a reputable commercial, boutique, or mid-sized law firm
* Strong technical knowledge of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
* Excellent drafting, advisory, and communication skills
* A commercially minded, solutions-driven approach to client work
* Confidence managing matters independently and working directly with clients
* Proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively within a boutique, entrepreneurial environment
* Experience supporting corporate transactions or exposure to commercial/litigation matters is desirable
* Interest in business development and building long-term client relationships
