Are you passionate about technology and ready to make a real difference in education? We're looking for a dedicated and proactive IT Technician to join our supportive team at a vibrant secondary school in Chorley.
As our new IT Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the school's ICT systems. From troubleshooting hardware and software issues to maintaining network infrastructure and supporting classroom technology, your expertise will help ensure a seamless digital environment for both staff and students.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, starting from 6th October 2025, with the potential to become a long-term position for the right candidate.
* Provide technical support across the school, responding to IT helpdesk requests
* Set up, maintain, and repair computers, projectors, interactive whiteboards, and printers
* Monitor and maintain network and server infrastructure
* Support staff and students in the effective use of ICT equipment
* Assist with routine maintenance, updates, and software installations
* Experience in an IT support role, ideally within an educational environment
* Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Office 365, and basic networking
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
