This is a full-time, permanent role with a rotational shift pattern.
Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to provide clinical leadership to the nursing team at Ward 43, Glasgow Royal Infirmary. We seek an experienced registered nurse to work within a multi-professional team to ensure high standards of care for cardiology patients, supporting their acute care, rehabilitation, and discharge planning through holistic and compassionate care.
Responsibilities
1. Take charge and lead the team in this busy acute cardiology unit.
2. Coordinate care and ensure optimal patient flow throughout the department.
3. Act as a role model for junior staff, providing specialist knowledge and advice, and evaluating and implementing care.
4. Support and deputise for the Senior Charge Nurse(s) in their absence, fulfilling managerial duties.
5. Ensure care assurance within the ward and manage staff issues under the Once for Scotland policies.
Qualifications and Skills
You must be a Registered Nurse with the NMC. The role offers mentorship and coaching, emphasizing staff wellbeing and development. We foster a culture of kindness and civility and look forward to your application.
Shift Pattern
The role involves a 37-hour week, Monday to Sunday, with rotation day and night shifts.
