A chemical raw materials company is looking to recruit a chemical regulatory specialist to join their regulatory function. This is a flexible hybrid role. The company provides a wide range of chemical ingredients/raw materials to sectors including coatings, adhesives, plastics and life sciences to global markets.
Core duties involve ensuring products are compliant with chemical regulations (CLP, GHS, REACH, DG etc); you will also have the opportunity to learn about application regulations (regs impacting customers’ final products). You will compliance check new raw materials, manages chemical / regulatory data, author SDSs and labels. You will also answer customer regulatory enquiries, complete customer questionnaires, liaise with suppliers and keep abreast of regulatory developments that may impact any products.
We are looking for a candidate with some existing chemical regulatory experience (SDS authoring, classifications, labelling etc). This is a desk based regulatory role providing a vital compliance service to internal stakeholders; it could be suited to a chemist who splits time between the lab and SDS authoring/compliance checks or for an existing regulatory officer looking for a new challenge. There will be opportunity to contribute to project work eg accreditations, sustainability as well as being a regulatory subject matter expert.
