About Everton Women

Everton Football Club is one of the world’s most respected and revered names in sport, known for innovation, professionalism and community. The club’s senior men’s team has played more top‑flight games in English football history than any other, and Everton Women have driven the professionalism of the women’s game since 1995. With a history of league titles, FA Cups and a founding membership in the Women’s Super League, the club welcomed its women’s team to Goodison Park in September 2025, marking a new chapter in its long legacy.

About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Director of Football Operations to join Everton Women’s Football Club on a fixed‑term maternity cover basis. This role offers a unique chance to lead the delivery of a high‑performance environment, influencing both off‑pitch processes and on‑pitch performance through driving standards, enabling performance and ensuring staff and players operate at their best.

As a key member of the Women’s Leadership Team, you will:

* Support player trading processes and manage player registrations
* Oversee team operations, budget management and financial reporting
* Ensure compliance with Women’s Super League and wider football regulatory requirements
* Provide comprehensive player support and maintain oversight of the Players’ Guild Association (PGA)
* Own Club Secretary duties, compliance, operations and licensing processes, maintaining the club’s high operational standards
* Contribute to wider club football initiatives, including projects linked to Goodison Park and Finch Farm

Who we’re looking for

We seek an individual who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, values attention to detail and is motivated by advancing women’s football. The ideal candidate will be:

* Hands‑on and able to integrate quickly, providing stability across a busy schedule
* Skilled in managing complex operations and ensuring regulatory compliance
* Capable of leading cross‑functional teams and driving continuous improvement

The position is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, requiring 40 hours per week at the training ground Finch Farm. The closing date for applications is Tuesday 5th May 2026, though we reserve the right to close the vacancy early if a substantial number of applications are received.

Eligibility and Background Checks

Applicants will need either an Enhanced or Basic DBS check, or evidence of subscription to the DBS Update Service. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK and other relevant qualifications will also be verified.

Equity & Inclusion

Everton is committed to ensuring everyone is respected, celebrated and empowered for who they are, regardless of identity. We welcome applications from people of diverse backgrounds, including those from racially diverse communities and individuals with disabilities or long‑term health conditions. Reasonable adjustments can be made to the recruitment process upon request.
