Companies House is an executive agency of the Department for Business and Trade (DBT). We maintain the public register of companies for the UK and provide corporate transparency, making the public register available online, free of charge, allowing individuals and businesses to make effective decisions about engaging with a company. Currently there are more than four million companies on the register, and we incorporate around 700,000 new companies every year.

This role will play a critical part in delivering this transformation.
The role itself is situated within the portfolio team and within the wider Transformation Delivery Directorate. The role requires close working with a range of colleagues from across Companies House. The role will involve helping to maintain appropriate systems for project planning, assist in managing risk and issues and managing project data within our Project and Programme Management (PPM) tool.

Job description
Our successful candidate will have the opportunity to undertake:
Planning and Scheduling
1. Assisting with and maintaining appropriate systems to enable effective planning and scheduling.
Monitoring and Reporting
2. Assisting in maintaining project controls and in producing project reports.
Administration
3. Responsible for project file management using robust version control. Organising key project meetings and providing secretariat support where required.
Stakeholder engagement
4. Managing and engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
Financial Control
5. Assisting with the monitoring of project spend against budget.
Management of risks and issues
6. Engaging with stakeholders to identify, monitor and key risks and issues for the Project.
7. Assisting with and maintaining risk and issue logs, escalating as appropriate.
Information Management and Security
8. Ensuring that all changes to documents under configuration control are documented and controlled. Ensuring data is appropriately protected in line with Departmental policy.
9. Supporting the knowledge and information process and maintaining the lessons learned log.
Person specification
We are looking for the following experience, which will be assessed at sift and interview. Please refer to this section when writing your personal statement.
We're looking for somebody who has:
10. Experience of working in a project environment.
11. An understanding of project management.
12. Good written communication skills.
13. Excellent organisational skills.
14. Comfortable with working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
15. An ability to prioritise work to meet targets and deadlines.
16. The ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.
17. Experience of providing administrative support to meetings.
18. Excellent ability with Microsoft applications, including Excel and SharePoint.
Desirable - If you have the following that would be ideal, however these aren�t essential so please still consider applying even if you don�t have them.�
19. A recognised entry level Project Management qualification (such as APM Project Fundamentals or PRINCE2 (Foundation) or similar).

Alongside your salary of �25,613, Companies House contributes �6,914 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
Please note that the minimum salary does not reflect the 2023/24 pay deal and we are therefore expecting this to increase in the near future.
