The Company - Axon Moore are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant role for a well-established and growing company based in North Leeds. Since incorporation, they have gone from strength to strength and have worked hard to establish an excellent experience for all employees and customers. They are now seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team who is keen to learn in the role and pursue their ACCA or CIMA studies.
About the role - The purpose of this role is to learn in the role while studying. The business will offer excellent training and exposure to a wide spectrum of technical and commercial duties, making it the ideal opportunity on the route to qualification.
Salary & Benefits - £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience and qualification, full study study support, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, hybrid working, social events and a 35 hour working week
Main Duties - You will be the Senior Finance Teams right hand providing support in the day-to-day finance operations and processes whilst ensuring the efficient delivery of finance information. This will give you the practical experience needed to succeed in your studies as well as giving you the tools needed to progress within the business.
Supporting role to the Finance Manager for the end-to-end management accounts delivery and financial reporting for the Finance Function
Key role in the implementation of accounting controls, preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and cash controls
Support in preparation of monthly site and company P&Ls, profitability and margins, making recommendations for improvements
Support the external audit work
Preparation of weekly sales, wages and P&L reporting and dashboards
Prepare analysis of site-by-site people costs for weekly and monthly actuals vs budgets/forecasts. Identify trends and understand variances to help drive wage efficiency across the business. bank reconciliations, business sheet processing and sales journal postings-
Seek and identify better ways of doing things, thereby helping to drive continuous improvement and efficiency's to finance and business process
Provide meaningful and insightful MI to assist the business with relevant decision making to drive business performance
Responsible for cash processes and reconciliation
