We are looking to welcome an experienced PrescribingParamedic or Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our dynamic andsupportive team at Humberstone Medical Centre. This vacancy is for 15 hours perweek, salary depending on experience.
Main duties of the job
Were looking for a highly motivated, experienced clinicianwith independent prescribing rights and a strong background in primary care.The successful candidate will work autonomously within their scope of practice,managing minor illnesses and long-term conditions, and contributing to thesmooth daily running of the surgery.

Job responsibilities
Registered Paramedic or Nurse Practitioner with relevantqualifications.
Previous experience working in general practice/primarycare is essential.
Able to manage acute and chronic conditions, conductassessments, and make referrals as appropriate.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Experience
* Has previously worked in a primary are setting or a Primary Care Network
* Ability to listen, empathise with people and provide person centred support in a non-judgemental way
* Courteous, respectful and helpful at all times
* Able to get along with people from all backgrounds and communities, respecting lifestyles and diversity
* Commitment to reducing health inequalities and proactively working to reach people from all communities.
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information effectively with people at all levels by telephone, email and face to face
* Ability to identify risk and assess/manage risk when working with individuals
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in relevant in paramedicine or equivalent experience
* Registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council as a paramedic
* Good clinical IT system knowledge
* Post graduate qualifications in minor injury/illness and advanced patient assessment
* Attained Level 7 capability in paramedic areas of practice
* Knowledge of other IT systems, including ability to use word processing skills, emails and the internet to create simple plans and reports
