The Sales Support Engineer will support and assist all selling activities of the territories assigned in order to help sales achieving their business goals in their market. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Developing strategies as appropriate to customers, competitors and Instron. Provide technical support to Sales Engineers and Agent/Distributors of the assigned territories via emails, phone calls, visits and trainings. Ensuring the product, product specification and benefits are appropriate in relation to customer requirements and needs. Providing feedback to ensure the price of these products meets with the requirements of profitability and competitiveness. Work within the respect of the procedures, policy, values and strategies of the company. Key Competencies and Experience: Degree level or equivalent with appropriate experience in either a Technical or Sales environment. Good knowledge of products and their applications. Ability to communicate at all levels on products/applications, both inside and outside the company. Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong understanding/empathy with different audience needs, target markets & cultures. Proactive in offering support to Sales to achieve customer satisfaction and finalize an order. Flexible with the ability to work calmly under pressure. Team player with a "can do" attitude with the necessary tenacity to achieve results together with others. Experience of working with materials testing equipment, an advantage. Working Conditions: Normal office and factory environment with limited physical discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust and the like. Manual lifting will be required (subject to risk assessment and use of lifting aids where necessary). To fulfill the principle duties and responsibilities it will be necessary to travel within the Instron market area (average of 2-3 days a month)and work beyond the stated minimum hours may be required.
