We are currently recruiting for a Day Shift Supervisor to join us at our Crewe Depot. We’re always on the lookout for top talent to join our growing business. In fact, we never stand still, we work hard, make quick decisions and deliver to our ambitious goals every day.
Our Day Shift typically starts between10:00-12;00 Monday to Friday dependant on volumes with full flexibility required to cover the operation.
Our Day Shift Warehouse Supervisor is a key role working with our Day Shift Manager to ensure the smooth running of the day operation in our Depot where you will lead teams of Loaders, Sorters and Drivers in processing parcels delivered from client sites in to smaller geographic areas to be delivered to the final customer.
About the Role:
You’ll be joining our business as a key member of the Depot Management team. Working under the Dayshift Manager, you will support your Depot by providing strong man-management to all front-line staff on your shift.
You will supervise a mixed team of contracted and agency staff across our day shifts. This Shift is key to our business as it is when we process the growing returns part of our business as well as parcels collected from our network of Parcel Shops.
We are looking for like minded Professionals who can motivate, manage and where necessary discipline a diverse workforce to get the best out of them.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a team of up to 30 direct reports providing leadership and direction for the shift
2. Develop and train reports and ensure SLA’s are hit for the day shift
3. Ensure compliance with all site HSES rules and regulations
4. Process BI and MI reports based on work output of Drivers and Loaders
Essential skills and experience required:
5. Management experience of leading and managing a team
6. Must be able to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment to tight deadlines
7. Experience of managing teams in a fast-paced logistics environment is a definite advantage
8. PC Literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft office
9. An understanding of Transport regulations
10. Good communicator and able to liaise at all levels
11. Flexible approach to work to meet business requirements
