The job itself
The Beeford and North Frodingham Federation is a group of two small rural schools within the East Riding of Yorkshire. These comprise of Beeford Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School and North Frodingham Primary School. Beeford school has a strong Christian ethos, and these values are shared in part with North Frodingham. However, each school proudly keeps its individual identity, characteristics and traditions whilst benefiting from many joint enterprises.
The governors, staff and pupils of the Beeford and North Frodingham Federation are seeking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic and focused executive headteacher who:
1. Has a vision to inspire and to maintain the progress towards excellence that is already evident in the two schools.
2. Has senior leadership experience, preferably as a headteacher, assistant headteacher or deputy headteacher.
3. Is compassionate, values our families and children individually, and is committed to helping them achieve their potential.
4. Can maintain and promote the distinct cultures of both school whilst understanding the strong Christian ethos at one of them.
5. Has a strong understanding of rural schools and their close links with their communities.
6. Can work closely in partnership with a team of enthusiastic and dedicated staff, supportive governors and parents.
The face of the federation, you must be a strategic thinker who can communicate and influence across a wide range of audiences. A motivator and leader, you must have capability and creativity to build and strengthen teams and achieve the vision of the federation.
The successful applicant will be offered an induction program from the Improvement and Learning Service in conjunction with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Diocese of York. The federation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. Appointment to the post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
