Woodmancote School is looking to appoint a professional Clerk to the Governors to act as an official channel of communication to and from the governing board, and to enable the governing body to function smoothly and efficiently.
Main duties include:
-Attendance at 5 governor meetings per year, taking place during the evenings at the school
-Taking and typing of meeting minutes
-Preparation and circulation of agendas, minutes and other papers
-Recording of governor meeting attendance
-Advising the governing body on governance issues
-Booking governor training courses
-Facilitating parent governor elections and placing advertisements for other governor vacancies
-Other duties as outlined in the job description
Grade: 6 (pts 15-20) £30,024 – £32,597 pa pro-rata (annual actual salary approx. £1356)
Contract: Permanent (subject to probationary period)
Hours: 2 hours per week term time only (spread across the academic year with some weeks requiring more hours than others).
Start Date: asap
