The Role We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality support to pupils with special educational needs. The successful candidate/s needs to be flexible and willing to work across any phase in school, including the current SEND Nest Provision phase. They need to be prepared to work across whole classes, with specific groups or on a one-to-one basis- this depends on the ever-changing level of need across school and the strengths of the successful individual. The successful candidate will also be required to support the lunchtime team with key children. Key Responsibilities Deliver targeted support to pupils with SEND, both in class and through individual or small-group interventions Assist in the implementation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)/ Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs) Foster positive relationships with pupils, promoting confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing Support pupils with personal care needs when required, maintaining dignity and respect Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents/carers, and external agencies We are seeking someone who… Has a genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting children with SEND Is committed to safeguarding children Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience in a dynamic school environment Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills A sense of humour (a must!)
