We are working with a world-renowned civil engineering contractor, responsible for delivering some of the most iconic infrastructure schemes within
the UK and internationally. They are currently expanding their pre-construction team and an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to join
them and play a pivotal role in securing new projects and contracts by leading the bid process from initiation to submission.
Your responsibilities will encompass strategic planning. coordination, and execution of all activities related to tendering and proposal development.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Drive and energise the bid team to achieve a successful outcome for each allocated tender. Following designated processes and best practices in place within the organisation.
* Ensure that a coherent bid strategy is developed, working in conjunction with the Business Development Manager and Sector Director.
* Continually evaluate winning strategy and direct team and resources to focus on activities that will enhance the chance of bid success.
* Oversee and be involved with tender commercial strategy.
* Arrange all necessary internal meetings – Kick off / Settlement and others identified in the work-winning process. (use MS Outlook)
* Agree on Bid Budget and monitor expenditure with the Head of Management to manage the tender programme.
