Full time, Permanent, 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary: Up to £34,138.13 per annum.
About The Role
We are looking to hire a Planner to join our team in Wakefield. The role is part of a local repairs team which ensures that works orders are scheduled through the in-house appointments system, repairs are allocated to trade operatives, and all works are carried out with a minimal average turnaround time.
Responsibilities
* Support the scheduling of operative and sub-contract resource to ensure effective resource management, delivery of a customer-focused repairs service, and achievement of performance targets.
* Ensure IT systems are operated effectively, operatives are using and updating their PDAs, and schedule of rate codes are inputted correctly.
* Monitor and update repairs on an ongoing basis (job status, target-time bookings, cancelled works orders, repairs without appointments, overdue jobs) and action follow-on jobs by the end of each day.
* Maintain a professional customer experience by communicating clearly with service users, clients, and internal/external stakeholders; uphold appearance, company ID, and Health & Safety standards.
* Act as a key point of contact between residents and maintenance workers for ongoing works and liaise with colleagues to ensure accurate and timely information.

All roles require entitlement to work in the UK; Mears does not offer visa sponsorship. As part of the recruitment process, a DBS & BPSS check and Security Clearance are required, including provision of Proof of Address, References, a valid passport, and evidence of UK residence for the last 5 years.
