Are you a care assistant/worker looking to help vulnerable people by supporting them in their daily lives and providing the care they need?
This is a rewarding opportunity to support a variety of service users, helping them grow and become independent or assisting with care tasks they can no longer perform themselves.
We are seeking candidates with experience supporting the elderly, people with disabilities, and working in secure mental health units.
This role offers flexibility with a variety of hours and sites, primarily in South Manchester.
Objectives of the Role
1. To provide support to service users with individual needs and promote independent living skills.
2. To work as part of a dedicated team to ensure high-quality standards are met.
3. To maintain the safety and well-being of service users, colleagues, and visitors.
4. To give individuals the best care and ensure they feel safe and secure in their environment.
5. To ensure the correct medication and dosage are administered to those who need it.
Criteria
1. 6 months experience working in a similar mental health support setting.
2. Experience and awareness of safeguarding procedures.
3. Comfortable with housekeeping, cleaning, basic food preparation, and observations.
4. Experience working in a secure mental health hospital with diverse mental health issues.
5. Ability to provide 3 years of reference history.
6. Overseas police check if residing in the UK for less than 5 years.
