SEMH Teaching Assistant – Hedge End

Pay: £82 – £95 per day

A welcoming, high achieving Primary school in the Hedge End area is looking for a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs in KS2- particularly in Year 4. The schools is a medium 2 form entry school in the Hedge End area, with an excellent reputation for an exciting and engaging curriculum with well established and retained staff.

The Role:
Provide group support for those children with SEMH and SEND needs
Facilitate access to the curriculum through tailored communication strategies
Encourage confidence, independence, and strong social connections
Be willing to go the extra mile and support children at lunch and break times too
Encourage all pupils to be curious, inclusive and supportive of similarities and differences
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure consistent, effective support
Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment for all pupils
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children in an educational or early year setting
Maths and English Grade C or above
A desire to support those with additional needs
A genuine willingness to learn and grow in this area
Strong communication skills and a creative, caring, flexible approach
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
