An excellent opportunity for an experienced Administrator to provide high level support to our Elected Members
About the position
This key role sits within the Council & Corporate Support team supporting the Council decision‑making process and statutory compliance. You will provide essential administrative support to Council Members, prepare agendas, produce accurate, timely meeting minutes and attend Council/Committee meetings after hours for minutetaking.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‑level administrative support to Council Members and stakeholders
* Prepare agendas and supporting documentation for meetings
* Render accurate and timely meeting minutes
* Communicate with Council Members, vendors, suppliers, the business community, members of the public and City of Wanneroo leaders and employees
* Attend Council/Committee meetings after hours for minutekeeping
About you
You will bring a high level of attention to detail, adaptability, resilience, and the ability to interpret and apply applicable legislation. You thrive in a busy, change‑driven environment.
Required capabilities
* Advanced computing, numeracy and literacy skills with the ability to proofread written material
* Advanced organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks
* Ability to work autonomously and in a team, supporting colleagues proactively
* Qualification in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration or equivalent experience
* Experience in a similar role within a similar environment (preferred)
