Role Description
This is an on‑site role for an Overnight General Practitioner based in High Wycombe or Aylesbury (Stoke Mandeville).
The GP will manage and deliver care to patients during overnight hours, ensuring safe and effective diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients presenting with various medical needs. Key duties will include conducting medical assessments, formulating treatment plans, and coordinating with staff and resources to ensure the best patient care. The role also involves maintaining up‑to‑date medical records and adhering to clinical governance and safeguarding protocols.
Qualifications
* Clinical expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing a variety of medical conditions, with an emphasis on primary and urgent care.
* Experience in maintaining accurate and detailed patient records and managing clinical risk effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and provide patient‑centred care.
* Familiarity with local NHS services, safeguarding frameworks, and protocols.
* General Medical Council (GMC) registration with a licence to practice in the UK.
* Flexible and adaptable to meet overnight and on‑site role requirements.
* The ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
* Relevant experience in local (Buckinghamshire) primary care or a similar healthcare setting is an advantage.
