 
        
        Wood Process & Energy is recruiting an experienced Senior C&I Engineer - PSC on a contract basis based in our Glasgow office
Hybrid Working - working from home and some days a week expected in our Glasgow office
Responsibilities for Internal Candidates
 1. Project work as Senior C&I Engineer for projects as required by the C&I Discipline Manager including managing aspects of instrument scope within budget and schedule.
 2. Execute instrument engineering activities (Concept, FEED & Detailed Design)
 3. Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract
 4. Responsible for effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems
 5. Carry out work in accordance with company and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems
 6. Maintain the required technical quality or work
 7. Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with Change Control Process
 8. Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures, standards and regulations
 9. Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule
 10. Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to the discipline.
 11. Assist with preparation of estimates and schedules
 12. Maintain good communication with the Client and visit Assets when necessary

Who we are looking for:
 17. Experience with working on projects for the Energy, Chemicals and Refining Sectors
 18. Experience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
 19. Experience with working within a project team as a Senior C&I engineer and on C&I teams across a range of industry sectors. on Small, Medium / Large capital projects from concept to start-up
 20. Be a Self-motivated team player working on own initiative with minimal supervision
 21. Experience with development of Instrument Engineering deliverables as required on a project-by-project basis
 22. Degree or equivalent in the appropriate engineering subject
 23. Experience with specification of field instrumentation, analysers and ESD and actuated valves
 24. Experience with sizing of flow devices/control valves/relief devices 
 25. Experience with the specification of Fire & Gas systems and detection equipment and the application of BS5839-1 
 26. Experience in specification and interface management of Instrumentation and Control requirements for Mechanical packages
 27. Experience with interfacing with Client Engineers personnel to facilitate project execution
 28. Experience with managing and liaison with Vendors to facilitate project execution
 29. Experienced engineer with sound technical background and expertise
 30. Experienced in the use of appropriate codes of practice, standards and relevant sections of statutory documentation
 31. Experienced in the use of design and assessment methods used within discipline
 32. Chartered Engineer status as a Member of the Institute of Measurement and Control (IMC) or Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) (desired)
 33. Experience with specification control and safety system upgrades and modifications (desired)
 34. Experience with attendance and contributing to HAZOP, LOPA, Alarm Reviews and SIL Determination (desired)
 35. Experience with IEC 61511 Safety Lifecycle and Emergency Shutdown System architecture and design and SIL determination. (desired)
 36. TUV or similar Functional Safety Engineer qualification. (desired)
 37. Experience with IT/Telecoms/Networks/Access Control & CCTV Systems (desired)
