Accounts Payable Assistant – 12-Month FTC (Maternity Cover)

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking for your next challenge? A telecoms company is hiring a dedicated Accounts Payable Assistant for a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a key role supporting the finance team during a period of transformation, with the chance to manage AP processes across multiple international entities.
You’ll report to the Group AP Manager and work from the London office three days a week, with the rest remote.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process supplier invoices accurately and on time across group companies
* Resolve invoice and payment queries with suppliers and internal teams
* Ensure compliance with internal controls and PO policy
* Maintain accurate supplier master data
* Oversee staff expenses using Concur
* Prepare weekly multicurrency payment runs
* Monitor and manage the AP inbox
* Support month-end tasks and audit requirements
* Produce reports for finance and business stakeholders
* Assist with finance system and process improvement projects
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Organised and methodical, with good time management
* Confident communicator with internal and external stakeholders
* Comfortable working to deadlines
* Proficient in Excel
Desired:
* Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and invoice scanning tools (OCR)
* Experience in a multi-entity, international business
* European language skills (French, German, Dutch, Danish)
