Project Quantity Surveyor – Northern Scotland - Outside Ir35 contract About the Role A civil engineering contractor in Scotland is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of major infrastructure projects across renewable energy, highways, and marine sectors in Northern Scotland. Candidates with strong civil engineering experience and a working knowledge of NEC3 contracts are particularly encouraged to apply. A background in underground cabling and substations is especially welcomed, given the prevalence of SSE projects in the region, though flexibility will be exercised for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities * Managing the commercial aspects of infrastructure projects * Measurement and valuation of civil engineering works * Administering and ensuring compliance with NEC3/4 contracts * Supporting cost analysis related to delay and disruption claims * Communicating effectively with project teams and stakeholders * Providing commercial advice and support to project management teams Essential Requirements * Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline * 3-5 years' experience in civil engineering quantity surveying * Experience in civil engineering projects, preferably in renewable energy infrastructure, highways, or marine construction * Knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts * Experience in projects exceeding £2M * Good communication and analytical skills * Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to remote sites Desirable Experience * Working towards MRICS/MInstCES qualification * Understanding of heavy civils construction techniques * Familiarity with MCHW or National Grid specifications * Knowledge of the Scottish civil engineering sector * Experience working in remote or island locations Location Based in Inverness with travel required to various project sites, occasionally requiring overnight stays.
