About this Role
Our public services are under major threat. Our members are working under extreme pressure and UNISON is actively campaigning for services and jobs. We are seeking local organisers to recruit, organise and work on a range of projects to support our campaigns. This role will focus on recruiting, retaining and organising members who work across the Yorkshire & Humberside region.
About this job
The successful candidates will bring their experience and skills in one-to-one communications, recruitment, organising and campaigning. Previous experience as a recruiter, organiser and campaigner within a trade union or community organisation would also be desirable. You will also need to demonstrate a knowledge of trade unionism and our union’s values. Your office will be in Leeds but you will be expected to travel across the Yorkshire & Humberside Region.
The successful candidates will need to be flexible with their working hours. Reaching members can be challenging during “office hours” so the successful candidate may be required to work in the evening, early mornings and occasionally at weekends.
