We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Surrey. This role is ideal for qualified SEN / SEND teachers who are eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with a variety of learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve their educational journey.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Work with young people referred by local authorities and schools, providing support in educational and social-emotional development
* Offer flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each teaching/tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic, engaging sessions tailored to individual needs to progress educational and social-emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Needs
* Experience and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance to obtain at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignments
It is a strict requirement that you promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
SEN / SEND Tutor employment status
* This position involves working with us as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* You will work through a contract for service and be paid via PAYE
* We do not offer a fixed amount of work nor expenses coverage
* Our insurance covers the work you do for us
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
