Job overview Windermere Lodge is a 20-bed acute assessment ward for people who present with mental health disorders. We provide a service for patients who have functional and organic diagnosed or working diagnosis in addition to our frailty pathway. The ward is positive and proactive in providing care to patients who are presenting with complex mental health needs and physical co-morbidities, working in collaboration with other services, such as Adult Acute mental health services, Psychology Services and Palliative care teams. We are looking for Band 5 RMN’s to join our dedicated nursing team in Doncaster, if you are a motivated and committed registered nurse we are keen to hear from you. Advert To facilitate and co-ordinate care within a named nurse system, either as a named nurse or within team nursing. To be the named nurse for a group of patients, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care in line with the Care Programme Approach (CPA) process. To demonstrate nursing practices are up to date and evidence based. Undertake bespoke assessment of patient needs to generate customised care plans. To undertake physiological assessments and clinical skills appropriate to role including physical health assessments and management. To spend therapeutic time building relationships with patients and carers and delivering care in accordance with care plans. To collaborate with Mental Health Physiotherapist/ Occupational Therapist/ Psychologist/ Psychiatrists/ Pharmacy and Mental Health Social Workers, all of who work on the ward.
