Class 2 Delivery Driver (Temp to Perm Opportunity)
GI Group UK is seeking a professional Class 2 Delivery Driver for a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate. If you're confident behind the wheel and adaptable to different routes, we'd love to hear from you.
Location: Peterborough
Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm, Friday: 7:00am - 4:00pm
Pay: £17.00 per hour (including advanced holiday pay)*
Breaks: 45 minutes unpaid per day
Key Responsibilities
Load and unload packages, ensuring all items are delivered accurately and in good condition
Maintain clear delivery records and complete required paperwork
Deliver excellent customer service, managing inquiries and resolving issues
Ensure the delivery vehicle is clean, sanitized, and maintained; conduct daily safety checks
Act as a communication point between customers and the company, reporting any concerns
Requirements
Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
Minimum 12 months' Class 2 driving experience
Previous multi-drop driving experience preferred but not essential
Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent customer service and communication abilities
Working Environment:
Mainly road-based, with occasional warehouse work as required.
