The Role As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a central role in supporting a named pupil’s learning, development, and wellbeing throughout the school day. Responsibilities include: • Providing focused one-to-one support to help a pupil access the curriculum and achieve individual learning goals • Assisting with the delivery of differentiated and targeted learning activities, including literacy and numeracy support • Supporting communication and engagement using appropriate strategies and resources • Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional regulation, confidence, and social skills • Helping with break/lunch supervision, transitions between activities, and routine support • Supporting the pupil during whole-class sessions, small group work, and independent tasks • Recording observations and contributing to planning discussions with teachers, SENCO, and parents • Assisting with personal care and sensory regulation if required, always with professionalism and respect • Working closely with the wider school team to promote inclusion, wellbeing, and academic progress About You • Experience working in a nursery or school setting in the UK • Relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 3 Nursery Nurse or equivalent in education/childcare/SEN support • Enthusiastic, energetic, and committed to supporting pupil progress • Strong communication, teamwork, and organisation skills • Confident working 1:1 with learners and adaptable to individual needs • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education) What’s on Offer • A supportive leadership team and collaborative working environment • Ongoing professional development and SEN-focused CPD • A highly rewarding role where you make a meaningful impact every day • Long-term progression opportunities
