The Ruth Gorse Academy is seeking to recruit an inspiring and ambitious colleague to the role of Assistant Curriculum Leader of Science. This is a key position within our science department, offering the opportunity to contribute to strategic leadership and the continued development of high‑quality teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner, committed to delivering outstanding lessons and inspiring students to achieve their full potential. You will play a significant role in driving curriculum development, raising standards, and supporting colleagues to ensure consistently strong outcomes for all learners.

Potential applicants should:
* Have a strong track record of successful teaching, with excellent outcomes at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4
* Be able to demonstrate a secure understanding of current educational developments and effective strategies to raise achievement, including the use of Pupil Premium
* Have the ability to contribute to and implement a clear vision for the department
* Be able to inspire, motivate and support both students and colleagues
* Have experience (or the potential) to contribute to curriculum development and departmental improvement.
