Key Responsibilities
As a Band 7 Sonographer, you will be responsible for:
* Undertaking a broad range of ultrasound examinations, with a primary focus on obstetric scanning.
* Delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in line with professional and clinical standards.
* Producing accurate diagnostic images and comprehensive written reports.
* Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support effective clinical decision-making.
* Ensuring ultrasound equipment is used safely and appropriately, arranging servicing, calibration, and maintenance as required.
* Maintaining accurate clinical records in accordance with local policies and professional guidelines.
* Complying with health and safety regulations and infection prevention procedures.
* Participating in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance clinical expertise.
Person Specification
Essential:
* HCPC registration.
* Minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience as a Sonographer.
* Proven experience in obstetric ultrasound scanning.
* Strong communication skills and a professional, patient-focused approach.
Desirable:
* Full UK driving licence to support work across multiple sites.
* Experience working autonomously in a Band 7 capacity.
