Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and tax returns for a varied client base.
* Assist with VAT returns and management accounts.
* Support bookkeeping duties, ensuring financial records are accurate and compliant.
* Liaise directly with clients, answering queries and helping to resolve any issues.
* Work closely with senior accountants, supporting them on client advisory work.
What the client is looking for:
* Ideally circa 2 years minimum experience working in a practice environment.
* Would consider candidates from industry, but you must be keen to progress your career in practice and enjoy working with local clients.
* Has ideally got your AAT Level 4 or working towards.
* Ideally prior experience using Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software.
* Fantastic communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
