We are partnering with a well-regarded secondary school in Northampton that is looking to appoint a dedicated Music Teacher from April or September 2026. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive department and play a key role in delivering a rich and engaging music curriculum.
What You'll Be Doing:
Plan and deliver high-quality Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 teaching available
Teach a range of topics including performance, composition, and music appreciation
Incorporate instruments and music technology to enhance student learning
Support students in their preparation for GCSE Music and other assessments
Lead or assist with extra-curricular activities such as bands, choirs, and productions
Contribute to school concerts, showcases, and wider events
Create a positive classroom environment that supports creativity and student confidenceWho We're Looking For:
A qualified teacher (QTS or QTLS) with a specialism in Music
Strong subject knowledge across different musical styles and disciplines
Confidence in using music technology such as GarageBand, Logic Pro, Ableton, or Sibelius
The ability to engage and motivate students with varied abilities
Effective classroom management and organisational skills
A team player who is keen to contribute to the wider school community
Suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachersWhat the School Offers:
