Senior Product Designer

A new opportunity to join an engineering led R&D team where product design plays a central role in shaping what gets developed and taken to market.
This is a senior position with responsibility for leading design activity from early research through to production ready solutions. Working across multiple projects at once, setting direction, challenging assumptions, and making decisions that balance creativity with real world constraints such as manufacturing, cost, and performance.
The role involves developing and defending concepts, presenting ideas to senior stakeholders, and working closely with engineering to ensure designs are robust, viable, and commercially sound. You will also support and mentor less experienced designers, helping raise standards and capability across the team.
This suits someone with significant industrial design experience, typically five or more years, and a strong portfolio of products taken through to manufacture. Ideally you will be confident using SolidWorks and related tools, comfortable managing competing priorities, and credible when explaining and standing behind design decisions.
As the team and product portfolio continue to grow, this role offers increasing influence over design direction and technical leadership.
