Senior Financial Controller - Pensions/Actuary Exp
* Location: Milton Keynes - onsite 3 days a week
* Duration: 6-month contract
* Inside IR35
* Rate: GBP550 per day
My client is seeking a Finance Manager specializing in Pensions Accounts. You will support the Head of Pension Risk, managing activities related to the operation, financial management, reporting, and risk management of the Company's defined benefit pension scheme.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and enhance the pensions control framework to meet audit expectations.
* Review and improve pension models for audit compliance.
* Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual pension accounting and risk reporting, including disclosures for annual reports.
* Assist the Director of Pensions and Head of Pension Risk in preparing documentation and attending statutory and non-statutory committees such as Pension Risk Forum, Pensions Committee, ALCO, and CF Trustee meetings.
* Prepare pension information for strategic planning, including P21, ICAAP, and stress testing.
* Develop the scheme costs budget with the trustee scheme team and monitor actuals against it.
* Manage relationships with professional advisors, including work on triennial actuarial valuations and audits.
* Coordinate annual review of actuarial assumptions, assessing and recommending changes.
* Collaborate with finance, capital management, scheme trustees, and risk teams.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's forward-looking Business Plans for the schemes.
Key Skills and Experience
* Proven experience as a Finance Manager.
* Experience supporting Pensions Accounts.
* Background in the Financial Services Sector.
